GREETINGS TO ALL:
Hope this finds you all well. Well, first off I'm out of town as I write this, so your going to get the Readers Digest version this month. I thought I would be back home before deadline but unforeseen circumstances have arisen. And here I am with no notes, and no tablet, writing this with my phone. And because of the wind knocking out the wifi where I'm staying, I'm already a day behind. So I'm flying by the seat of my pants and off the top of my head, so please bear with me. I hope by the time you get this all the s*** will be over for the year and we can get down to some Spring weather. I'm not gonna say the S word again until next year.
For the last couple of months I've been telling you, that there are some big doings going on at the Club. Well, if you haven't already been notified I'm doing so now. The May members meeting has been moved to Sunday, May 6th @ 12 noon. I strongly suggest that if you want a say in what’s going on at YOUR Club that you attend this meeting. The Board of Directors meetings are still on the last Wednesday of the month. The June members meeting will be back to our Summer schedule, which means the members meeting will be on the first Wednesday of the month. All meeting start at 7:00.
On March 10th we had our Annual Game Dinner. Although I was not able to attend this year, I did hear the food was awesome. They started out with Smoked Trout Dip and Venison Salami. For appes they had, Venison Pepper Popper, Stuffed Quahogs and Venison Sausage Bread. The entrees were Pheasant Fricasse, Elk Meatloaf, Smoked Venison Hinds and Rabbit and Wild Turkey Cacciatore. And for soup and salad they had Turtle Soup and the ever famous Esip Antipasto. I haven't talked to Bob or Tom so I'll have their report next month.
I do know that we have a derby coming up, but I don't have my notes in front of me, so check around the Club for more info on that.
30 GUNS in 30 DAYS
We will be raffling off 30 guns in 30 days for $30 during the month of September. The winner will be determined by the first three numbers of the Mass. Lottery daily numbers evening draw. The winner will receive the money that the gun on that day is worth, and can pick up the gun at Bob's Gun and Archery (Home of all your hunting, fishing and shooting needs ), upgrade to a weapon of your choice, or keep the moola. Sweet deal no? Now, please turn in your tickets in as soon as you can. All tickets must be turned in SOLD or UNSOLD on later than July 31. If you sold just a couple of tickets and don't think you can sell anymore, PLEASE turn your unsold tickets so we can get them out to the public. There are only 1000 tickets sold. If you have any questions please contact Dave Carpenter.
RIFLE and TRAP
Please make sure to sign in when using either the range or trap house. Dont forget to police the area and leave a comment on the conditions of the range or trap house. I'm sure I'm forgeting a bunch of stuff but some of you folks know how it is, and I know I'll take crap for it when I get back. Well, that is truly all I have for this month. I got to go, it's just about slack tide.
